Broccoli Sprouts May Help You Live Longer (Backed By Medical Proof)
Hello Healthy Peeps!
I was recently studying ways to increase long life and longevity and it may sound a bit sad but lengthening mortality as well. Did you know that in the study below there are percentages that actually are tracked to increase mortality?
It led me down a long winding rabbit hole which helped me to find the video below.
It first started off with me researching Blue Zones, which if you're not sure what that is, are areas that have the longest living people on the planet - Centenarian. It was a book and term coined by Dan Buettner who has done extensive research on the subject.
This journey started off last week Friday (New Years Eve) when I found out about Betty White and her recent passing (Rest in Love, Betty. Thank you for being a friend). It really put everything in perspective as to how long or how much of a fulfilling life you wish to have led. Again, as in my last post. I am not a doctor but I do wish to live my best and healthiest life and this video by Dr. Rhonda Patrick really helped to drill down a lot of the details of the benefits of cruciferous consumption.
Put the Netflix aside because this video is 47 minutes and 42 seconds.
As the video notes and the information laid out, this information is an in-depth review of scientific literature and should not be construed as medical advice.
The evidence strongly suggests that cruciferous vegetables mainly eaten in the form of Broccoli Sprouts has Sulforaphane which is a powerful activator of the NRF2 pathway which regulates over 200 genes including antioxiddant and anti-inflammatory genes and genes that inactivate harmful compounds.
I spoke to our supplier and I was like...WE HAVE TO HAVE THIS SOLD AT OUR STORES and we need to get this in the hands of people. I am currently taking 10,000 mcg of Sulforaphane and will let you know how the progress goes. I'm wondering if this is even better than Astaxanthin which I take every other day in small doses (since people ask me how do I take so many supplements - you should see my chart!)
That being said, check out the video and see the evidence for yourself and if you feel that it will help, grab yourself a bottle and LEVEL UP!
